Advantage Travel Centres sets up technology sub-committee

ADVANTAGE Travel Centres has set up a sub-committee to research the technology needs of its members.

It will contact technology companies to negotiate reduced prices for computer equipment, but will not recommend specific brands.

Advantage Travel Centres chairman Mark Bowers said: “Technology is changing constantly and we, as a membership organisation, need to see what equipment is currently being used and what technology our members need to purchase.”

Meanwhile Advantage Travel Centres has appointed Di Baker of Aldershot-based Wellington Travel as its first ever woman president.

Baker has been a member of Advantage Travel Centres for nine years and has been on the board for six. She said: “As the only woman on the board, I can often bring a different perspective to our discussions and decision making.”
