Agent feedback prompts Tui to launch packages from Newquay

Tui is offering a wider range of package holidays this summer, thanks to new departures with partner airlines from Newquay and Glasgow Prestwick airports.

The operator said the expansion in Cornwall comes “in direct response” to feedback from Bryony Penberthy, an independent travel agent at Newells Travel in Newquay.

The agency group, which operates 11 branches across Cornwall, highlighted “strong” customer demand for local departures.

In response, Tui launched four new package destinations from Newquay to Alicante, Dusseldorf, Faro and Malaga, available to book as Tui city breaks and beach holidays with partner airline flights.

Alicante, Faro and Malaga will be offered with Ryanair, while Dusseldorf will be served by Eurowings.

Penberthy said: “We’re really excited to see Tui now offering holidays from Newquay. It’s a fantastic move that reflects the feedback from our teams on the ground, who’ve seen clear demand from customers wanting more choice and convenience from their local airport.

“This change means we can now offer our customers more flexibility with the trusted Tui holiday experience, with our fantastic accommodation range without the need to travel long distances. It’s a real win for our stores and for Cornwall.”

Ten new destinations from Glasgow Prestwick will offer Scottish travellers the option of packages with Tui products, such as Holiday Village, Tui Blue and Sensatori by Tui Blue resorts.

Passengers travelling from Glasgow now have direct access to city breaks in Pisa and Barcelona alongside beach holidays in destinations including the Canary Islands, flying with Ryanair.

Tui said the moves are part of its “transformation into a global curated leisure marketplace” – complementing its core packages with dynamic options that incorporate third-party products, including flights with partner airlines from various UK departure airports.
