Agent's knockout boxing debut raises more than £1,800 for charity

Club Voyages’ Becky Walker has raised more than £1,800 for Reuben’s Retreat and her local hospital in a charity boxing match.

The match was one of 17 bouts that took place on March 21 at the Forge Warehouse in Sheffield to raise money for different causes, with several hundred spectators in attendance.

Walker was the top fundraiser of the night and won her match in the first round with a knockout within the first minute.

Walker, who won the Clia Cruise Master Award at the Agent Achievement Awards this year, told Travel Weekly: “It feels absolutely incredible to be the top fundraiser of the night and that’s the only reason I did it, to raise money.”

She added: “I was a bit disappointed the match ended so quickly!

“I’ve trained in boxing for a hobby for years just as a way to keep fit, but I’ve never punched anyone and I’ve never been punched.”

She said she was inspired to choose Reuben’s Retreat and the hospital as a result of Tipto’s fundraising and meeting a woman representing the hospital at a networking event. 

Walker also regularly fundraises for the Good Hope Project in Tanzania, often taking physical donations out on trips each year.
