Ambassador Cruise Line has unveiled a regional coach transfer programme with 10 pick-up points around the UK to travel to London Tilbury.
The transfers are available on nine sailings departing between January and March 2027 and cost from £70 per person.
Passengers can access the service in Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff and Portsmouth.
The transfers have been introduced to provide passengers “a convenient and affordable way” to go on holiday and follow trade and customer feedback identifying transport to the port in Essex as “a potential barrier when booking winter sailings”.
Nicola Harper, head of distribution, said: "One of the reasons guests choose Ambassador is the simplicity of no-fly cruising and we are always looking for ways to make that experience even easier.
"Our new regional coach transfer programme allows guests from across the UK to join selected winter sailings from a location much closer to home, removing much of the planning and travel that can sometimes come with joining a cruise from London Tilbury.”
She added the aim was for this to be a year-round programme and the line will look to expand the transfer offering “should it prove as popular with guests as we and our friends in the trade believe it will be”.
Harper added: “We know from conversations with our trade partners and guests that there is strong demand for a service like this, particularly during the winter months when our ships are sailing from Tilbury rather than our regional ports."
