AMERICA West Airlines is to introduce a regional air pass that will enable visitors to travel between 12 US states.
The Western Pass will be available from April 1 and will cover Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and Vancouver, in Canada.
The costs start at £142 for one adult and £135 for a child under the age of 12 for one coupon. The coupons, which allow travel from one state to another, will be priced priced at a set fare throughout the year until March 31 2002.
The Western Pass joins three other passes offered by America West; the system-wide Pass which allows travel between US East Coast destinations and costs £271 for adults and £214 for children; the Tri-City Pass, allowing travel between Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Diego, at a price of £114 for two coupons for adults, and £92 for children; and the Tri-State Pass, which covers travel in three states – Arizona, California and Nevada, with costs ranging from £121 for a two coupon Pass and £99 for children.
