APT & Travelmarvel recruits new Midlands BDM

APT & Travelmarvel has appointed Jess Tansey as its new business development manager for the Midlands.

She will start on April 14, “ramping up support” for the operator’s agent partners across the sales region.

Tansey joins the APT & Travelmarvel family from the Scenic Group, where she worked as trade support specialist for the Scenic and Emerald Cruise brands for two and a half years.

She replaces Leiza Sullivan, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities, according to the river cruise, yacht, small ship and touring specialist.

The new appointment comes as APT & Travelmarvel is investing in its fleet, which will see the maiden season of Travelmarvel’s MS Estrela, a new river ship on Portugal’s Douro River.

Furthermore, Travelmarvel’s inaugural Small Ship Cruises will operate between April and October on the Caledonian Sky in Greece, Portugal, Italy, Spain, the Canary Islands and Istanbul.

APT’s Small Group Journeys will also debut this year, taking clients in groups of no more than 24 to destinations in South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Japan.

New ultra-luxury APT river ships Ostara and Solara will start sailing in the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.

Tansey said she aims to help partners “to harness every business opportunity that the elevated fleet and new travel styles have to offer”.
