ARTAC Worldchoice is to develop its own centrally run shop network as part of its plans to become a profit-driven business.
It is looking to open 20 city-centre shops within 12 months, in addition to acquiring 20 outlets from Worldchoice members leaving the industry.
The development will be funded by members investing in the consortium and becoming shareholders. Agents will be invited to apply for a maximum of £5,000 worth of shares for five years. They will not be obliged to invest, with every member receiving 120 free shares.
The cost of membership will also be protected.
