Unijet proposed a drop in commission rates and both operators wanted a two-tier structure where members would be split into an A and Blist. ARTAC also accused the operators of providing “derisory marketing support”.
Members have been encouraged to support other suppliers.
ARTACmanaging director Julian Foster said: “We cannot call on members to derack a product but we can call on them to de-list First Choice and Unijet because we are not satisfied with the commercial deal being offered.
“It does not apply to other First Choice Group products which are still being negotiated. We will continue to support them.”
First Choice sales and distribution director John Wimbleton said: “As far as we were concerned, negotiations were still in place. We will have to consider the best course of action. I’m surprised this wasn’t discussed with its members.”
