AS Training is launching an AI focused apprenticeship qualification to meet growing demand for more efficient and automated processes in the trade.
The training provider now hopes to attract a cohort of 10 people together to enable the first course to run this summer.
The 18-month ‘AI-powered operational transformation’ apprenticeship qualification is aimed at staff involved in processes, reporting, communication flows, customer operations or business efficiency and want to better understand how AI can support smarter decision-making and more streamlined operations.
Managing director Michelle Van Sprang said: “AI is becoming part of everyday business operations, but many organisations are still unsure how to apply it in a meaningful way.
“We wanted to create a programme that moves beyond content creation and focuses on operational transformation, smarter workflows and data-driven decision making.”
She added: “The future of travel isn’t AI replacing people, it’s people using AI more intelligently. So this is our goal.”
The apprenticeship would enable businesses to upskill staff to operate data-driven processes more efficiently, find ways to improve digital workflows or change the way internal or customer-facing processes are delivered using AI tools.
The aim is to provide apprentices with the knowledge to help businesses save time and money by streamlining, enhancing and speeding up service and productivity levels using AI tools.
The cost of the cost is fully funded by the apprenticeship levy for levy-paying employers, with non-levy paying companies required to pay 5% of the course fees, which equates to up to £900.
