Shearings unveils Bridgerton-themed tour

Shearings has launched a five-day coach touring holiday to capitalise on the popularity of the Netflix series Bridgerton.

Called Bridgerton & Regency Royals, the tour follows in the footsteps of the actors and real historical figures associated with the show.

Customers will visit some of the filming locations in Kent, including the historic dockyard at Chatham, plus Hatfield House, Ranger’s House and Greenwich Park.

The cobbled streets of the dockyard at Chatham were used as sets for some of the London street scenes and for the boxing ring used by the Duke of Hastings, played by Regé-Jean Page.

Hatfield House is associated with Queen Elizabeth I and featured in the show as the home of the Featheringtons and the Gentleman’s Club.

Ranger’s House is a Georgian villa on the boundary of Greenwich Park and is home to a collection of art, including Dutch Old Masters and Renaissance paintings. The façade of the house was filmed as the home of Daphne Bridgerton.

Customers will stay at the three-star King Charles Hotel, Gillingham, on a half-board basis.

Two tour dates have been confirmed, departing August 9 and 23. The tour costs from £359.
