Atlas Ocean Voyages has appointed Kristian C. Anderson as executive vice-president of global sales.
Anderson will report to president and chief executive James A. Rodriguez and be responsible for all sales initiatives.
He will work closely with international sales lead Bernard Carter to develop trade relations in the UK as the brand “deepens its trade-first strategy to expand in the luxury expedition cruise market”.
Most recently, Anderson was senior vice-president of global sales at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection during its first two yacht launches, and has prior roles at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Silversea Cruises and Qatar Airways.
Rodriguez said: “It is an exciting time at Atlas Ocean Voyages and our travel agent partners as we continue to raise the bar on the guest experience and elevate our brand, now adding Kristian C. Anderson to the executive team.
“I, like so many of our industry colleagues, have admired his commitment to agents over the years, and his leadership position in the trade community is a welcome addition to our team of cruise veterans.”
Anderson added: “Under James’s leadership, the team at Atlas Ocean Voyages has built a highly regarded brand that doesn’t rely simply on name recognition but advances with an intentional commitment to deliver elevated, authentic guest experiences and trusted value with their industry partnerships.
“As a nation of seafarers, the British consumer appetite for unique, immersive, responsible and adventurous luxury is still growing, and we are keen to inspire curiosity with our new brand.
“We are employing and expanding our trade-first strategy in the luxury expedition cruise sector and are keen that UK agents make the most of the opportunities we have to offer.”
