BA defies trade to top brand survey

BRITISH Airways is the best-loved airline in the UK according to a new survey, despite the airline’s poor reputation among the trade.

The carrier was ranked seventh out of 50 UK brands in a poll of 11,000 consumers.

BA topped the list for airlines even though the public has suffered major disruptions to services following a series of strikes in recent years. Virgin Atlantic came second with half the votes. EasyJet came third, Emirates fourth and BMI fifth.
