bakers dolphin to close Kingswood HQ

WEST Country agency chain Bakers Dolphin is to close its head office in Kingswood near Bristol

The First Choice-owned company claims it needs to cut costs following the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.

The air department will be transferred to the group’s air specialists Unijet while customer services and property functions will be handled at the group’s central customer services department in Manchester and Walsall.

In addition, commercial and marketing functions will be absorbed into existing operations in Walsall and Crawley.

A statement issued by the company said staff would be redeployed or relocated wherever possible.
