Bank Holiday strike threat

BRITISH Airways is almost certain to face strike action over the Bank Holiday unless it can reach a pay deal with its workers.

Union GMB has confirmed it will hold a 24-hour strike sometime over the Bank Holiday weekend, throwing thousands of holidaymakers plans into chaos.

The T&G Unions is likely to co-ordinate industrial action with the GMB if its members vote to strike on Wednesday.

BA said it hoped to reach an agreement with the unions, but had contingency plans in place if strikes went ahead.
