Barrhead Travel has revealed it will be opening its third store in Northern Ireland this summer, with the exact location to be unveiled “in the coming weeks”.
The agency, which said its Newtownabbey branch had achieved “exceptional success” since opening late last year, confirmed it continued to prioritise expansion in Northern Ireland.
Barrhead Travel managing director Nicki Tempest-Mitchell (pictured) said: “We see huge potential for growing our retail footprint in Northern Ireland.”

She added: “We’re now focused on finalising our local team for the new store and we’ll reveal our location in the coming weeks.
“However, given the success we’re having in the region, we’re also open to hearing from experienced travel professionals in Northern Ireland who think a Barrhead Travel store could work for their local communities.”
The Scotland-based agency first expanded into Northern Ireland in 2017 with the opening of its Belfast store in Victoria Square shopping centre.
In addition to its retail locations, it also operates a small call centre from Coleraine with homeworking positions.
Tempest-Mitchell said demand among Northern Ireland customers was “high”, adding: “Growth in regional uplift, as well as great connections to the US from Dublin, means there is even more travel variety now available for Northern Irish holidaymakers and our teams have the opportunity to create bespoke trips for their customers.”
