VIRGIN Holidays sales and marketing director Kathryn Beadle has quit the tour operator following a management restructure to fuel the brand’s growth.
The move is linked to Virgin Atlantic’s expansion plans with new routes to Cuba and the Bahamas next year and Australia from December, as well as Airbus additions to its fleet.
The shake-up sees the sales and marketing functions – which were overseen by Beadle – split in two to allow more focus on each area.
The decision prompted Beadle to resign after 10 years with the company. She is pursuing opportunities outside the group.
Sales now sits in the same division as operations. Operations director Stewart Baird has become sales and operations director, while head of trade sales Kieran Farragher is promoted to general manager of sales.
Meanwhile, a dedicated marketing director and a product and commercial manager are being recruited. Along with Baird, they will report to managing director Amanda Wills.
