n In drumming up business from its Stansted base, low-cost airline Buzz has revealed the results of a silly questionnaire into flight companions. Apparently, 83% would like to sit next to Robbie Williams, with just 17% picking the Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher. Given a choice between Posh Spice and her husband, 66% preferred the singer with 34% opting to strike up a conversation with Manchester United's David Beckham. But surely the favourite option is no-one – you can't beat extra space on those short-haul flights.
n The Foreign and Commonwealth Office's annual review makes good reading for those paranoid about leaving home. Last year, 854 British nationals died in Spain, compared with 97 in the US. This is, of course, down to the fact that more people travel to Spain than the US. But more Brits were murdered in the US – four compared with three in Spain. Travel to France if you want to stay alive – only 81 out of 14.7m Brits who went there last year failed to return.
