Budget carriers Ryanair and Wizz Air have reported rising monthly passenger carryings.
Ryanair numbers rose by 6% year on year in November to 13.8 million.
The increase came as Europe’s largest short haul airline operated more than 78,000 flights.
Last month’s performance saw Ryanair’s annual rolling total of passengers rise by 5% to 196.1 million.
Eastern and central European no-frills rival Wizz Air carried 5.25 million passengers in November, a rise of 8.6% on the same month last year.
Wizz Air said: “The load factor remained robust at 90.7%, indicating sustained demand and efficient capacity utilisation amid network expansion.”
The airline took delivery of its 250th aircraft on November 28 and still holds more than 260 orders for the A321neo aircraft, positioning it for “sustained growth" into the next decade.
Wizz Air confirmed that it competed all required software fixes overnight on Friday after Airbus issued an alert.
“As a result, the airline suffered no disruption to its services,” the airline noted.
