Buncle quits Scottish Touirist Board

SCOTTISH Tourist Board chief executive Tom Buncle has resigned.

The STB is currently being rebranded and restructured under the name of visitscotland and Buncle had been in line to join the new organisation as managing director.

STB chairman Lord Gordon of Strathblane said: “I fully understand Buncle’s decision. His continuation with the STB would have provided valuable continuity at a time of great change.

“I am grateful for all he has done for the STB and Scottish tourism over the years, and I wish him every success for the future in whatever he now chooses to do.”

Lord Gordon added he is seeking a replacement and plans to release further details later this week.
