Cathay Pacific adds London capacity as Middle East flights remain cancelled

Cathay Pacific is lifting capacity between Hong Kong and London while extending the cancellation of routes to the Middle East. 

Passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh have now been cancelled until May 31.

The decision has been made “in view of the ongoing volatile situation in the Middle East, and to provide our customers with greater certainty for their planning,” the carrier said.

“Affected travellers will be offered the flexibility to rebook, reroute or cancel their tickets.”

Meanwhile, an aircraft change from Airbus A350-900 to Boeing 777-300ER will provide additional capacity from London on 13 days in April.

Additional flights are also being deployed to Paris and Zurich “to cater for a surge in market demand to Europe”.

The airline added: “We continue to review our schedule and potential deployment of additional capacity to provide more options for our customers.”
