Clarification

IN THIS week’s Travel Weekly (June 10), there is a letter from Val Shepherd, passing on a request to send a compliments slip to a young boy with terminal cancer to help him achieve his ambition of being entered in the Guinness Book of Records. We have since learned that this is a hoax and would urge readers to ignore the request. Val Shepherd was not party to the hoax and acted in good faith.
