C&M Travel Recruitment hails 24% monthly rise in new travel jobs

C&M Travel Recruitment has welcomed a 24% monthly rise in the number of new travel jobs advertised, hailing the trend as an “excellent” sign for the recruitment market.

The increase in new opportunities between June and July meant last month’s total was the highest since February, though the figure was 1% lower than in July last year.

The number of new candidates searching for jobs fell by 9% in July compared with the month before but the figure was 18% higher than in July last year.

C&M Travel Recruitment added that the number of applicants placed in travel jobs last month fell by 8% compared with June and also fell by 21% compared with July 2025.

Barbara Kolosinska, co-owner and managing director of C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “It’s great to see a big increase in the number of new jobs being made available.

“Lots of these roles are very appealing with excellent salaries, so this should lead to more candidates applying for the positions and – hopefully – more placements being made in the coming months.

“We’ve been saying it for some time now, but we need momentum and consistency in the travel recruitment market and a 24% monthly increase in new vacancies is an excellent sign.

“August is usually one of the very quietest months of the year, but the indications so far suggest this August could be the busiest we’ve had in some time. Fingers crossed.”
