WALLACE Arnold has tied in with German Rail to offer two nine-day coach/rail itineraries that include a train journey from Cologne. The two tours are Jewels of Austria, priced from £549 and Historic Eastern Cities (Berlin, Warsaw and Prague) at £579.
General manager product planning Stuart Westerman said: “There’s still a novelty factor about Eastern Europe. Everyone’s been to Italy and Spain – now they have another chunk of the continent to have a look at.”
Meanwhile, Leger Holidays has added a Polish coach tour and a new itinerary that combines Prague and the Czech Republic with the Rhine and Moselle Valleys in Germany for next year.
The nine-day Grand Polish Explorer is priced from £399. The Czech Republic tour leads in at £369. Both are coach-only tours.
Retail sales manager Peter Raynor said: “Since we last featured Poland, the country’s tourism product has developed a lot. We can now offer Warsaw and Cracow on the same tour.”
