The Cruise Globe specialist agency has surpassed £1 million in sales in its first seven weeks of operation, prompting it to launch a recruitment drive in the UK and US to keep up with demand.
The business launched in the UK and US in May as part of Global Travel Collection (GTC) and was co-founded by Matthew Jones, Will Ellison and cruise blogger and YouTuber Emma LeTeace.
The company now expects to generate more than £1 million in sales every month from September onwards, with the aim of reaching £50 million in turnover in 2027.
Jones said the company was seeing “much faster growth than anticipated”, meaning the primary challenge was hiring enough travel advisors to handle customer demand.
He added: “We’ve got a team of 13 people full-time across the UK and US at the moment and we’re looking to at least double this figure by the end of this year, with very significant further growth in 2027.”
Jones said the business had seen “a real mix in sales” so far, ranging from ultra-luxury and world cruises to mainstream and budget cruise lines, serving clients in the UK and US, as well as Australia, Canada and across Europe.
He attributed the early success to technology that removes “time-consuming, repetitive parts of the job” and gives agents “superpowers” to make them “five times more effective” while building better relationships with customers.
The agency is based on the Cruise Globe app, a free platform with 155,000 users logging their cruises.
