Cunard has hosted its first fam trip dedicated to homeworkers on board its flagship Queen Mary 2.
Twenty-one agents joined a five-night sailing from Southampton on June 5, with ports of call in Le Havre and Cherbourg.
The voyage included training sessions on topics from the fleet’s Grill Suites to Queen Anne’s Norwegian fjords programme, plus workshops focused on growing agents’ businesses with one-to-one support from Cunard’s business managers.
In addition, agents had the opportunity to experience a Gala evening, speciality dining, signature afternoon tea and a shore excursion in Le Havre.
David Jones, vice-president of global and EMEA sales, said homeworkers were “vital” to help more customers “discover the Cunard experience”.
Jones added: “By experiencing Queen Mary 2 first hand – from our White Star Service and signature experiences to the unique atmosphere on board – agents can speak with authenticity and confidence when recommending Cunard to their customers.
“Our ambition is to build a community of passionate Cunard advocates who not only champion our brand but also feel empowered to grow their own businesses alongside us.”
Michelle Tolton, of the Personal Travel Agents, part of Your Co-op, said the experience was “incredibly valuable” and “brought the product to life in a way that training alone simply cannot replicate.”
She added: “What stood out most was the attention to detail and the sense of heritage and luxury throughout the journey. As a homeworker, opportunities like this are especially beneficial.
“They enable me to build genuine, experience-led knowledge that I can translate directly into more meaningful conversations with customers.”
