eDreams secures £9.7 million funding

INTERNET travel company eDreams has secured £9.7 million worth of funding from venture capitalists 3i Group.

eDreams will use the money to enter the French market. It may develop alliances and acquisitions to strengthen its position.

3i joins a number of other venture capitalists who have provided a total of £24.3 million in funding since eDreams was launched in early 1999.
