Eurostar announce successful third quarter

THIRD quarter results released by the Eurostar Group have shown a growth in sales revenue and sales volumes.

Highlights from the report show:

* An upward trend in sales volumes of 12% to 2,107,000 during the third quarter;

* Sales revenue increasing during the third quarter by 13% to £111.7 million;

* A 10% increase in sales volumes in the first half of 2000;

* A 9% increase in sales revenues in sterling in the first half of 2000.

For the year so far, the report shows:

* Eurostar sales volumes have risen by 11% from 5,352,000 to 5,914,000.

* Year to date sales revenue has increased by 10% from £297.3 million to £327.4 million.
