Exoticca appoints fourth BDM to its trade team

Exoticca has announced a fourth business development manager to join its trade team.

Tracy Wells has been appointed BDM for south Wales and the southwest. The news follows the recent appointment of Sharon Vaughan as BDM for Scotland and Northern Ireland in August and Michelle Thake as BDM for the south of England in February.

Wells, previously business development executive for Red Sea Holidays, joins as the tour operator seeks a further increase in its sales through agents, which now account for 25% of business.

Neil Sealy, managing director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Both South Wales and the South West have been performing well for us and showing strong growth this year, and this is the perfect time for these areas to have a dedicated BDM to further support this growth.”

Wells said: "Travel is an industry I’ve always been passionate about, and I love the idea of helping people experience destinations that might otherwise feel out of reach. Exoticca’s approach to making incredible bucket-list holidays more accessible really stood out to me.

"The BDM role is a particularly exciting opportunity for me. I’m looking forward to getting out there, meeting new and existing travel agents and partners, building strong relationships and helping them see the opportunities Exoticca can bring to their customers and their businesses.

The tour operator, which launched to the UK in 2017 and started selling through agents in 2023, trebled its trade sales year on year for the period from January to early July.
