Florida strives hard to remain first choice for UK holidays

Leading destination invests heavily to maintain key sales from British market

FLORIDA will have one of the largest supplier areas at Pow Wow to maintain its position as the top holiday destination for the UK market.

Apart from huge investment by theme parks, attractions and resort hotels, the state is promoting other interests this year.

These include eco-tourism, water sports and fishing, lifestyle holidays covering spa breaks, sports and entertainment, and other special interest and off-beat places on suggested self-drive itineraries.

A series of short trips called Worth the Drive have also been put together based on routes throughout Florida for those interested in bird-watching, lighthouses, outdoor adventure activities, and trails featuring African-American, native American and also Cuban heritage.
