Former Kuoni PR chief Rachel O’Reilly has confirmed the creation of a new boutique communications and coaching consultancy.
Rachel O’Reilly Communications & Coaching will provide PR, corporate and internal communications support for travel businesses.
O’Reilly brings 30 years’ experience working with leading tour operator brands, including Kuoni and its parent Dertour UK, as well as independent specialist businesses, global hotel groups, attractions and destinations.
Communications services include bitesize project support charged at an hourly rate, PR packages, internal communications audits and support, creative workshops and brainstorms, event hosting and event moderation.
A new strand is a coaching practice designed to support senior executives and leaders with personal brand positioning, presentation style, social media presence, thought leadership and speaker opportunities.
The coaching also extends to workplace health and wellbeing, supporting individuals and teams with balanced health awareness, realistic goals and practical plans to achieve them.
O’Reilly qualified as a health coach in November 2024, with a focus on helping people move towards goals such as better sleep, reduced stress and regular exercise within busy working
She said: “After working with large international travel groups, independent brands and agencies, I wanted to create a consultancy that can plug in flexibly wherever communications support is needed.
“That might mean short packages to inject fresh creativity into campaigns, sharpen news angles, or provide discreet advice in the background on new projects, issues or crisis situations. My bitesize pricing model gives businesses the flexibility to shape support around the brief.”
O’Reilly added: “During my time at Kuoni, particularly through the pandemic, communications became even more focused on internal audiences and on keeping teams connected, informed and supported.
“We introduced regular health and wellbeing content into our staff communications and ran campaigns alongside the charity Mind to support mental health. During that period I trained as a mental health first aider and later built on that by training for a year as a health coach. That experience has shaped the way I think about communications, leadership and wellbeing at work.
“I’m offering a free one-hour exploratory session for businesses or individuals who would like to talk through a brief or an idea, discuss what support might be useful and consider a practical approach and next steps.”
