G Adventures is expanding in Canada with nine new tours across six provinces amid “booming” demand.
The new trips will cover a broad and varied geographic swath by both land and sea, from Newfoundland to the Rockies.
The operator his to highlight landscapes, wildlife, culture and community experiences.
The new trips mark the small-group adventure travel firm’s largest product development in Canada to date.
Company founder Bruce Poon Tip said: “Demand for Canada is booming and our agents and travellers have been asking for more ways to explore this incredible destination.
"And, when they ask, we listen. These trips are about so much more than seeing Canada - they’re about diving in with both feet, and really experiencing the destination.
“We will be going to completely new regions for G Adventures, including Northern Québec, and with the addition of our Arctic expedition adventures, we’re excited for travellers to explore regions of Iceland, Greenland and the Canadian coastline that few get to visit, aboard our G Expedition ship for the first time.”
He added: “Canada is an incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming destination, offering the very best in adventure, from spectacular landscapes to diverse wildlife, and these new trips mark an important step to opening the eyes of our global travel community to what Canada has to offer.
“As with all G trips, local communities and supporting small businesses are central to these new adventures, so travellers will stay in small, locally owned accommodations and to learn firsthand about the history and culture of the Indigenous Métis people near Smoky Lake.”
