G Adventures to operate Arctic sailings for first time since 2019

G Adventures is offering four Arctic itineraries as it prepares to operate in the region for the first time since 2019.

The sailings, on the new expedition ship being chartered by the operator, will form part of G Adventures’ plans to double its small-ship portfolio by July.

G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip said: “This is huge news for us. Our travellers and agent partners have been asking when we will return to the Arctic and I’m delighted to say the time is now.”

Further itineraries across the Arctic circle and the Scottish isles will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The Arctic sailings include the 15-day Arctic Highlights itinerary, with departures from August 3, 2026, which takes in the fjord system in Northeast Greenland National Park and features a visit to Ittoqqortoormiit, where travellers will learn how this remote community lives. Prices start at £7,549 per person, excluding international flights.

A total of 10 departures are available across the four Arctic itineraries.

Poon Tip said: “Our expedition product has always been a huge selling opportunity for agents, as more travellers seek the advice of travel experts when journeying to these remote parts of the world.
