GBTA hosts roadshow for regional members

THE GUILD of Business Travel Agents is to host a roadshow for regional GBTA member agencies in a bid to bring them closer to the organisation’s key suppliers.

Exhibitors including Avis, Bass, Galileo, Hyatt, Radisson and Virgin Atlantic will join the shows, on August 14 in Bristol, August 15 in Birmingham and August 16 in Manchester.

Hotel working party chairman Richard Boardman explained: “We wanted to bring suppliers closer to our members in the regions, who have fewer opportunities to meet our industry partners because many events tend to be London-based.

“We also identified the need to focus on the use of technology to make the most of our partners’ GDS booking facilities, so there is also a technology training element to the roadshow.”
