GNER sees corporate sales rise

GREAT North Eastern Railway is crediting its new StandardPlus product for business travellers as a significant contributor to the train company’s 15% increase in corporate travel bookings this year.

 

 

StandardPlus, which offers enhanced services to anyone travelling at peak times with a full standard open single or return ticket, has been available on the London and Leeds route since June 1998 and has now been rolled out to services between the northeast, Yorkshire and London.

 

 

The StandardPlus coaches, which offer the upgraded service at no extra cost, are provided on peak-time trains each weekday morning and evening between London, York, Darlington and Durham. They will also be available on GNER’s daily service from Hull to London.
