Going Places sign dispute

GOINGPlaces has removed security signs from the windows of its outlets after a company threatened to take legal action.

 

 

Forensic security company SmartWater claimed the retailer was displaying similar signs to its own without actually having a SmartWater system, which sprays intruders with an identifying substance that is difficult to remove. The company argued it could confuse police.

 

 

It claims Going Places has now removed the signs and says senior management from both companies are scheduled to meet later this month.

 

 

Going Places said it would not comment on security issues.
