Hays Travel and easyJet holidays have teamed up to promote the opening of the low-cost airline’s new base at Newcastle International airport.
Low-cost carrier easyJet announced in May that it plans to open a three-aircraft base at Newcastle airport in March 2026.
And yesterday (June 10), easyJet holidays unveiled packages to 11 new destinations from Newcastle for summer 2026. Malta, Rhodes, Corfu, Faro, Reus, Tunisia, Sharm el-Sheikh, Dalaman and Antalya are being offered alongside the cities of Prague and Nice until October 2026.
To mark the occasion, Hays Travel and easyJet holidays have teamed up to give away five summer 2026 breaks, departing from Newcastle airport. A free prize draw will see five customers win back the cost of their holiday.
All Hays Travel customers who book their easyJet holidays package before June 30, departing from Newcastle between January 1-October 31, 2026, will be entered into the free prize draw.
Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, chief operating officer of Hays Travel, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with our partners at easyJet holidays to celebrate their network reopening a base at Newcastle.
“We encourage and wholeheartedly support our tour operators with airlines to fly from regional airports, which offers our customers greater choice and convenience.”
Routes from Newcastle that had already been announced are Alicante, Amsterdam, Bristol, Belfast, Geneva, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Paris.
