HIGHLIFE BREAKS RECRUITS JACKSON-SPENCE

EX-GOING Places head of sales Cathy Jackson-Spence has joined Highlife Breaks as commercial director.

Jackson-Spence was one of the high-profile casualties following Airtours' decision to shut 120 shops last year, (Travel Weekly, March 5 2001). Seven months later she received an out-of-court settlement from Airtours – thought to be in the region of £100,000 – after claiming her contract had been unfairly terminated.

At Highlife Breaks, Jackson-Spence will help install a new reservation system, upgrade the website and move the company to new offices in the New Year.

She replaces Giles Hawke who left the company at the end of September to join P&O Cruises.
