Holiday Autos tells agents to follow Argos' sales example

HOLIDAYAutos claims agents should "sell beach towels on the back of travel” in the same way catalogue retailer Argos is selling "travel on the back of beach towels”.

 

Despite signing a deal with Argos, which will see Holiday Autos car hire sold in its shops and 24 million catalogues, Holiday Autos managing director UK and Ireland Tony Seaman said that Argos has not been given the preferential deals that are offered through most travel agents.

 

Instead he claimed Argos as a retailer, which now sells insurance, airport car parking and insurance, is just looking for bolt ons which could make it more business and be of service to customers, while many travel agents are missing out.
