Holland America Line has extended its deployment in Europe with more sailings added across two ships for winter 2027-28.
Nieuw Statendam will sail 12 more cruises in the Mediterranean and northern Europe in the winter and early spring, with 70 more port days added compared to the previous year.
There will also be two additional voyages on Zuiderdam during the winter season.
A selection of sailings will sail from Dover to offer UK passengers a “convenient embarkation and disembarkation,” and there will be Christmas market cruises and an expanded Mediterranean programme visiting the Canary Islands, Spain, France, Italy and Greece, with more overnights and late-night stays.
Festive itineraries on Nieuw Statendam include a 13-day Baltic and Scandinavian Christmas Market Cruise which will operate as a round-trip from Rotterdam or Dover and a 15-day Baltic & Scandinavian Christmas Market Holiday which will be a round-trip from Dover.
The Mediterranean deployment includes a range of seven to 14-day voyages which can be combined into longer Collectors’ Voyages up to 24 days.
Karen Farndell, associate vice-president of sales and marketing, said: “Europe continues to be one of the most sought-after destinations for our guests with convenient sailings from Dover, it’s easier than ever to explore the region.
“From Christmas markets across Northern Europe to sunny escapes in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, these itineraries offer a range of experiences that highlight Europe at its most seasonal and rewarding.”
