More than 400 agencies have already signed up to take part in ’The UK’s Biggest Cruise Event’ on September 16, as part of Clia Cruise Week.
Clia describes the event as the largest-ever coordinated cross-agent cruise gathering.
Its aim for the day is for 1,000 agencies to take part in customer-facing events, internal training, ship visits and social media campaigns, with prizes available for agents for the best window displays and campaigns.
Clia UK and Ireland managing director Andy Harmer said: “We’re thrilled with the initial response we’ve had from the travel trade for ’The UK’s Biggest Cruise Event’.
“It’s inspiring to see so many agencies coming together to champion cruise and we’re counting down to a record-breaking turnout.”
He added: "This year’s Cruise Week is all about showing how the industry goes beyond expectations and we’re excited to see the energy, creativity and passion that agents will bring to their campaigns.”
Details of Cruise Week, which runs between September 15 and 21, were unveiled two weeks ago and will see support from nearly 40 ocean, river, expedition, luxury and small ship cruise lines.
