Hurtigruten’s James Howlett is set to leave his role as sales director for the UK and EMEA to take up a position elsewhere in April.
Howlett, who has held several positions with the Norwegian cruise line since May 2022, said in a social media post it had been a “privilege” to help shape his current role, but he is preparing to leave on April 24 to start his “next chapter” on April 27.
He added he is helping to recruit a successor, with the line currently advertising a role as sales director for the UK and emerging markets.
Hayley Moore, formerly of Princess Cruises, joined Hurtigruten as vice-president of sales and marketing for the UK and emerging markets last month.
Hurtigruten recently praised the “pivotal role” played by agents as it reported a 75% year on year rise in UK booked revenue in January.
Revenue via trade bookings increased by more than 80% compared with the same month last year.
