Sister brands Inghams and Santa’s Lapland have unveiled their ‘Nature and Climate Action Plan 2030’ with the “unifying goal of championing the great outdoors”.
The plan aims to accelerate the brands’ recent climate action and address wider biodiversity impacts and opportunities.
The HotelplanUK brands said in a statement: “The transition plan is a bold commitment to respect, reduce, reconnect and replenish the great outdoors, supported by a 10-step roadmap for positive action on nature.”
Working with conservation consultancy Biodiversify, the brands conducted an assessment in early 2025, identifying their dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities for nature.

As part of the resulting plan, the brands have also committed 10% of annual profits to impact initiatives and partnerships.
Other highlights from the plan include establishing a Grounded Voices Advisory Board “to hold leaders to account on behalf of nature” and expanding nature recovery work with new local projects close to destinations.
The brands also aim to improve access to nature for underrepresented communities and continue to develop rail travel.
Accessibility guides will be developed for those with sensory or mobility requirements, while continuing to employ British Sign Language-trained Santa’s Lapland Rangers.
Other initiatives will focus on reducing food waste and energy use; staff volunteering for community and nature-based projects; using citizen science to map bird life diversity; and investing in carbon removals.
John Mansell, managing director of Inghams and Santa’s Lapland, said: “Our holidays are rooted in time spent in the great outdoors, and our teams are passionate about the natural world that makes these experiences so special.
“We know that our business relies on the natural environments our guests love to explore, which is why we’re committed to helping to keep these places thriving.
“Looking after nature isn’t just part of our purpose, it’s essential to the future of our holidays and the places that inspire them.”
