Inghams has tasked its direct sales team with supporting trade-facing staff for a tour of travel agencies in an attempt to boost ski bookings.
The group have been travelling around the UK this month to boost familiarity with the Inghams Ski brand as well as the new Inghams Lapland Adventures product.
During the visits, they have been promoting the agent portal and other key tools, while also delivering new sales guides and posters.
Head of agency sales Julie Franklin said: “We are looking to create more confidence among our partners when it comes to ski and demonstrate that their town has a ski market that can be tapped into with the right assistance.”
The Inghams team are collecting feedback from agents during the visits and reporting any action points back to business development managers Sasha Darling and Charlie Cooper.
Franklin said: “The trade represents 50% of Inghams’ business as a company, so our trade partners are really important to us.
“Liam, Ryan, Bill, Amy, Charlie, Leah and Ollie are experienced senior agents within the sales team and it’s great to be able to get them in front of our frontline agents across the country.
“The team are great at engaging agents and sharing their knowledge and passion, helping to create awareness as well as overcoming any barriers to selling.”
She added: “We want agents to get excited about selling ski and see the opportunities that this niche market can bring. Giving them the tools to promote as well as sell is key to increasing sales on the high street.”
