Insurance survey – the results

Two years after the Monopolies and Mergers Commission report made itillegal for agents to link discounts with insurance, Travel Weekly and Primary Travel Insurance surveyed agents to find out their views on selling insurance. We received hundreds of replies and have detailed them in table form on this page.

 

 

Among the findings, only 43% of agents insist that customers prove they have travel insurance at the time of booking their holiday. But 69% felt that travel insurance should be compulsory.
