Internet needs upgrading

Howard Frost makes a valid point regarding Web bookings (Travel Weekly May 1).

 

However, Web sites will be able to cope providing they offer real-time reservations.

 

The challenge is todevelop systems offering alternate availability, orpeople will switch off ifhaving to repeatedly rekey core data.

 

The other issue is thate-mail is nowhere near as immediate as phone or fax.

 

A delegate at a recent seminar said he regularly checked his e-mail, at least once a week!
