ITT announces new board members – 01 Aug 2007

The Institute of Travel and Tourism has announced its new board following membership elections.

Four candidates won general directorships:

• World Travel Market head of sales Wendy Hartley
• TV personality Martin Roberts
• ITT chairman of the training and education committee Claire Steiner
• Former sales director of Accor Hotels Michael Stevens, who runs the UK division of accommodation-only provider Chase International

Carnival Cruise Lines sales and marketing director Lynn Narraway beat off one other candidate in the sea transportation category, while Thomas Cook director of commerical relations Marc Bennett was elected unopposed to represent tour operators.

ITT chairman Steven Freudmann was re-elected unopposed.
