Jet2 has reported a “record-breaking” May half-term with hundreds of thousands of customers departing on holiday this weekend.
The Balearics, Canaries, Turkey, mainland Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Croatia and Bulgaria are among the most popular destinations.
Last month, Jet2 ruled out surcharges on all booked flights and holidays across every distribution channel.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “Looking at our flights, it is very clear how much people want to get away to enjoy their well-deserved holidays, and we are seeing a record number of customers travelling with us this May half term.”
He added: “Our plan has always been to operate as normal this summer and with the current picture showing increased production and imports of jet fuel, we are delighted to be sending out the message to holidaymakers that summer is on.
“The response to our positive message has been excellent, and it is very apparent just how much people are looking forward to enjoying their holidays.”
