Jet2 is preparing for its busiest weekend on record, with more than 190,000 customers set to travel over July 18 and July 19.
The airline and operator will operate more than 1,000 flights over the two-day period as the peak school summer holiday getaway begins.
Services will run across Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands from Jet2’s 14 UK airport bases.
Majorca, Alicante and Faro are currently topping the list of most popular destinations, with Majorca’s Palma Airport alone set to handle 100 Jet2 arrivals and departures.

The scale of the weekend operation will see 2,000 pilots and 4,000 cabin crew operating flights, supported by more than 5,000 ‘Red team’ customer helpers stationed across UK and overseas airports.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2, said: “With the start of the school summer holidays this weekend, this time of year is always a busy period for us as we officially begin the peak summer holiday season.
“The demand we are seeing, coupled with our continued growth, means this year will be a record-breaking weekend and it will be our busiest weekend ever.”
In total, Jet2 has almost 20 million seats on sale across 66 sunshine destinations for the summer season.
