Jet2holidays is raising commission for independent agents in its “biggest” peaks booking campaign.
The increased remuneration covers all seasons and is available from today (Friday) until January 12 to help agents drive turn of year sales, although the operator declined to disclose details of the commission hike.
The company is also discounting all holidays by £100 per person booked via an independent agent.
A further £60 off booking code is being made available via “tens of thousands’ of ‘Take Off Tickets’ being distributed before Christmas to all independent agent partners
The number supplied will vary by performance and each ticket will give customers a further incentive to book via an agency partner, according to the operator.
The new incentives build on a number of agency-friendly ideas including a dedicated marketing toolkit designed in consultation with Jet2 sector experts, a Win a Jet2holidays Co-Pilot for a Day competition, as well as a nationwide campaign driving bookings to agency partners via bespoke messaging in advertising campaigns, including on national TV.
Travel agent relationship director Alan Cross said: “This is undoubtedly the biggest and best campaign that we have ever created to ensure that agency partners can boost sales and grow their businesses during peaks.
“Not only are we driving footfall and bookings at this crucial time by offering bespoke marketing support, dedicated Take Off Tickets and a fantastic sale, but we are also providing enhanced commission on all bookings.
“This investment in agency partners demonstrates our total commitment to them, and we are very excited about what we can achieve in partnership with independent travel agent partners this peaks and beyond.
"In the true spirit of Jet2holidays, we are not done yet, so we urge agents to watch this space for more good news.”
The initiative came as rival Tui offered holiday prizes to agents as part of its peaks campaign.
