JTA Holidays is including resort transfers – including domestic flights – as standard across all package holidays in its Maldives programme.
The move, which is now in place, covers all transfers between Malé International Airport and customers’ chosen resorts, with arrangements tailored to property locations.
Some transfers are by seaplane, domestic flight or speedboat, and all are now included in the overall package price. Previously, transfers had to be arranged separately.
The operator said it decided to include transfers to simplify and streamline the booking process, provide greater cost transparency and ensure a seamless journey from arrival to resort check-in.
JTA Travel Group chief executive Wayne Darrock said: “The Maldives continues to be one of the most desirable holiday destinations for UK travellers, but arranging resort transfers can sometimes add unnecessary complexity. By including transfers as standard, we’re providing a clearer, more convenient booking experience for both agents and their customers.”
He added the move also ensured it was clear to clients what the total cost was at the time of booking, and gave agents confidence that all transport elements were already arranged for clients in advance.
The operator confirmed there has been no change to the package price as a result of the move.
Agents will continue to earn JTA Rewards points on all qualifying Maldives bookings, the operator added.
